I had the benefit(?) of a public/grammar school education which resulted in 7 G.C.E. 'O' levels when I left school in. I had a couple of non-career-type jobs before I discovered 'flower-power' and 'dropped out' and into the hippie movement. I then traveled around Europe and India, working here and there at this and that before dropping back into society via 'encounter/growth' groups and spiritual growth with guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. Several years of personal and spiritual development led to a training in Bio-energetics and Neo-Reichian Bodywork completed in 1975. I then trained at The Minster Centre with Helen Davies, John Gravelle and Alex Pirani, in Humanistic Psychotherapy, and formed 'Therapeia' - a loose collective of psychotherapists in London, where I had a one to one psychotherapy practice and ran weekend workshops. Around this time a persistent knee problem dating back to my teenage footballing years kept nagging at me over the years and the medical profession were only able to offer me some sort of surgery or pain-killers, both of which seemed totally unsatisfactory to me and I looked elsewhere. I tried some homoeopathy, which was interesting, helped me in myself a bit but my knee not at all. I moved on to osteopathy. Now, that was very interesting, my whole body was helped by that and my knee became a bit less of a problem, until one day I decided that the osteopath was more interested in trying out ever more complex manipulations on me than in fixing my knee, so, next stop, the acupuncturist. I was impressed! My whole sense of well-being was uplifted several notches, sleeping better, energy and vitality improved and eventually my knee problem faded into no problem at all unless seriously challenged with a hard game of football or similar. A good result! The acupuncture treatment showed me the power of traditional acupuncture to transform mind, body and spirit and in 1979 I began my Licentiate of acupuncture with The College of Traditional Acupuncture U.K, Tao House, Queensway, Leamington Spa and I followed on with, the Bachelor of Acupuncture - completed in 1985 and the Master of Acupuncture - completed in 1990. During this time I married and divorced and remarried and with my second wife we had four children, who are now 21, 19, 15 and 12. Amidst all these babies a major health challenge hit me and acupuncture was only marginally helpful. I sought out and tried a variety of alternative therapies, all of which helped in some way or another, but I knew in my heart that none of these were getting to the root of the problem. Eventually I consulted with an old friend who was using a Vega machine and his testing results and the herbalist he recommended hit the target and over an eighteen month period I got my health back. The key problems were a toxic burden of mercury from my dental fillings coupled with a severe Candida problem (see my articles for more information on Candida and mercury). Acupuncture is great medicine but it hadn't been enough to help me so I undertook a training in Herbal Medicine and Natural Healing with The College of Herbs and Natural Healing and I completed my Master Herbalist in 1998. I acquired a Vega-Expert machine and then in 1998/99 I completed Basic and Intermediate training in Bio- Energetic Regulatory Medicine, which has enabled me to fully utilise the immense capabilities of Vega-testing and B.E.R.M. Also in 1999 I squeezed in a brief Teacher Training program at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, Leamington Spa. Then in 2000 I completed Basic and Advanced Training in The Kosmed Treatment System, and around this time my marriage began to fall apart, leading to separation and divorce in 2005. Even though I knew it was right for that relationship to end it was still a difficult time for a while. Since then I have completed a couple of advanced trainings in Bio-energetic medicine and most recently, early in 2010, I have qualified as an Angelicreiki Practitioner, and in 2011 I trained as an Angelicreiki Master/Teacher. I am also pleased to announce that I now have a Rife Technology machine and am having some very encouraging results with my patients using this old/new technology. As we move through this century I believe that medicine will move more and more towards Energy Medicine - and I mean the whole spectrum of Energy Medicine, which includes: Acupuncture, Angelicreiki/Usuireiki, Rife technology, Spiritual Healing, Homoeopathy, Sound therapy. Light Therapy, Bio-energetic Regulatory medicine, Radionics, Orgone therapy and on... and on... Stephen John Michael MacAllan Lic.Ac., B.A., M.Ac., M.H., Cert.B.E.R.M., M.B.Ac.C., M.A.M.H. |
